WMA to MP3 Pro App Reviews

18 Customer Reviews:

After downloading a ton of free converters (including Movavi which tricks you into converting only half of what you need) and realizing NONE of them were worth anything and then giving into the 1.99 (SO WORTH IT) I couldnt be happier. This APP was simple and did exactly as it promised in less then 5 minutes. GET IT.

Works

It does what it advertises, although the UI could use a makeover. The sliders are particularly difficult to move accurately.

doesn’t work

waste of money. couldn’t convert one single wma file. Just gives “failure” as the status with no explanation.

Very first WMA file I tried to convert, it immediately said Failure; same with others. I look through preferences and settings, nothing to show I was doing something wrong; it simply DOESNT WORK.

Tried a few files and the program immediately fails, closes, no other information. Feel like Ive been ripped off. If the tech supports help or it starts to work I will update this review.

The program works exactly as advertised. I’ve used it for around 3 months with no problems. It is a good example of an inexpensive program that deals with what can be a major problem both efficiently and efficiently. My only quibbles with the program are the user interface. There are as follows: — Opening files: There should be a drag-and-drop option for opening files. The current system works OK, i.e. go to the file menu and select the files rather than being able to drag them directly into the program from the finder. No big deal, but decidely old-school/Windows. — Output path: When you choose an output path, the program immediately forgets it as soon as you open and/or select a file for conversion. In other words, to change the default output path, you have to first open files for conversion and then select those files; then the files will be placed where you want them. It’s a minor problem, since the converted files are just placed in the default folder in the Music directory. However, it could be make clearer. If not for those two interface quibbles I would have given the program 5 stars. It does its job quickly, efficiently, and cheaply.

Doesn’t work

I’ve tried a few different times now with different WMA files… and all it outputs is 0KB mp3 files that don’t play. Be weary of spending your money.

It converted my WMA well. Once you open them in WMA pro, you have to highlight again the files you want to convert the press the sync button. I have a 2011 mac mini with 16GB of RAM. Converting each files less than 10 sec each.

I had a .wma file to convert and decided to look on the App Store for Apple safety-reviewed programs. I bought this before I saw the negative comments, but I am assuming those comments are for the older version(s)? I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) with 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 and 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 running OS X El Capitan (10.11.1) and it converted the file just fine. So maybe the older version(s) had problems but I think it worked great! Hope this review helps those thinking about buying this program. :-)

Didn’t work for me.. any file I dragged and dropped and re-named and tried to convert said Failure. Didn’t give any help as to how to remedy Failure or what I was doing wrong. Glad it wasn’t expensive, would be very annoyed.
